Lots achieved today, although it turned into a bit of a marathon. Thanks to all our helpers on very short notice.

The slab is done!

We have a real driveway! No more bumping and/or sliding along in the dust/mud. Thanks to Tim for all things earthmoving related. We’ll now leave him alone so that he can finish building his house!

Foundation trenching done and packing sand in place. Plus we have the makings of a proper driveway.

Now that the pond has evaporated and the ground firmed up a bit, we have a level site again, marked out ready for footing trenches 🙂

A little wet under foot after almost an inch of rain! Under slab plumbing done and dusted. Now for some sun to dry up all the rain and we can get on with preparations for the slab. 

Plumbing well underway in between rainy days yesterday. This is the under slab sewerage connection, including separate piping for later installation of a greywater system.

Hurdles and string lines up. Dimensions all match. Site set out done!
